Privacy policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This policy explains how Tickerlane handles the personal data of site visitors, account holders and people who join the Tickerlane Pro waiting list, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Data controller
The data controller is Carlos German Perez, an individual based in Alessandria (AL), Italy.
Contact: [email protected]
No Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as the legal conditions requiring one do not apply.
2. What we collect
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and password (stored encrypted) | Creating an account | To let you sign in and find your data on every device |
| Portfolio instruments, weights, theses and rules | Only if you choose to save your Radar to your account | To sync them across your devices. Without an account the list and the weights stay on your device and we never receive them; the anonymous counter below only receives the symbol of each instrument added |
| Email address, language, the instruments you chose (for example gold) and the page you subscribed from | Subscribing to the free morning brief | To send you the brief every weekday morning in your language, with a box on the instruments you chose. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link |
| Email address and, from Trader X-Ray, the option chosen (monthly, yearly or complete X-Ray) | Joining the Tickerlane Pro waiting list | To let you know when the plan is available |
| The text of the post you paste into Tickerlane Check (beta), any screenshot you upload and the chosen language, plus an anonymous fingerprint of your IP address (irreversible, salted, different every day) | Checking the post’s claims against market data; limit of 3 checks a day per visitor | The text is processed by our systems and by Anthropic (the AI model provider, based in the USA) to split it into claims; the screenshot is only read to find its text and is never stored; market data comes from CoinGecko. Do not paste personal data, yours or anyone else’s: the text is kept with no identifying data for 30 days, only to measure and improve Check |
| Email address, language and the campaign you came from (for example “maya3”) | Joining the Tickerlane Check waiting list, on the /check page | To let you know when Check is available. The operator receives a private Telegram notification |
| Trader X-Ray: the trading report you drop in (MT4, MT5 or CSV) | Using the Trader X-Ray page (tickerlane.news/xray) | The file is read only by your browser, on your device: it is never uploaded or stored and we never see its content. The anonymous counter below only records that a report was read (HTML or CSV), that the example was opened or that a file could not be read; on a phone, that the phone box was shown or used (link requested by email, copied or shared), never the address |
| Trader X-Ray on a phone: the email address you type to receive the link | “Email me the link” on the Analyze page | We use it only to send you one email with the link and how to export your report, and we do not keep it. For 24 hours we keep only a coded fingerprint of the address (a hash, not the address) so we do not send you the same email twice; then it is deleted. If you tick the optional box, the address joins the Tickerlane Pro waiting list described above |
| Anonymous counter of a few actions: arriving from a campaign, a real visit (a few seconds of page viewed, a scroll or a tap), adding an instrument to the Radar (with its symbol if it is in our list; otherwise only the word “other”, never the text typed), tapping one of the two main home buttons, scrolling to the middle of the home page, and a one-tap answer to the optional question “Which one sounds most like you?” (only from four pre-written answers, no free text); on the instrument pages, when you leave, how long the page was viewed, only as a range (under 3 seconds, 3–10, 10–30, 30–60, over 60) | Using the Radar | To know whether people arriving from an ad try the product, and where they stop. No cookies, no identifiers, no IP address stored |
| Optional feedback: a rating (three faces), ready-made answers to tap and, if you want, a text of up to 300 characters. Emails and long numbers are removed automatically before saving. No name, no identifier | When you tap “Feedback” and send | To improve the site. The message is saved and also reaches the operator as a private Telegram notification |
| Aggregated, anonymous visit statistics | Browsing the site | To know how many people visit the site and which pages they read. No cookies, no profiling |
Browsing the site requires no registration and creates no user profiles.
3. Legal basis
- Consent (Art. 6.1.a) for subscribing to the morning brief, for joining the Tickerlane Pro and Tickerlane Check waiting lists and for optional feedback, withdrawable at any time.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f) for abuse prevention and service security.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c) where retention is required by law.
Your Radar stays in your browser. Without an account, the instruments you add to the Radar (and any percentages) are stored only in your browser's memory, on your device: we don't keep them on our servers and we never ask for amounts. The only information we receive when you add an instrument is the anonymous counter described above. If you create an account, the Radar is also saved to your account so you can find it on other devices.
4. Processors
